New DVD Replication Option: Flex-Lite DVD's
Disc2day now offers the Flex-Lite DVD disc which is great for mailing. This replicated DVD disc is 60% lighter than the standard disc which can reduce postage costs as well as it is flexible enough to run through the US Postal Service's automated sorting and bar-coding equipment when inserted into USPS certified paper, cardboard and plastic carriers.
Flex-Lite Thin DVD-5 Disc is the latest technology in the DVD replication industry. The single layer format has the same capacity of a DVD-5, but is half the thickness of a standard DVD. This patent-pending disc format is literally "flexible".
This new format is ideal for any disc based direct mail application due to its resilience to breakage, shattering, and cracking. All discs are inspected for defects and measurements are taken from samples to ensure that the high quality standards are maintained. If you have a requirement to insert a DVD disc within a magazine or printed publication, the Flex-Lite DVD disc is perfect, it will bend without breaking allowing the publication to be able to flex without the rigid non-flexibility of the standard DVD disc. The Flex-Lite DVD's are currently only available for DVD replication.
