Pro Tools VS Engineer

Recording, Mixing, and Mastering is a huge industry with many service providers. How do you know that when you pay someone to record or master your audio that you are actually getting a professional product. Clients will often call in and ask about our software and hardware and if we use Pro Tools or not. Pro Tools is a great piece of software and is clearly an industry standard, however, shouldn't the concern be directed towards the audio engineer and whether or not they know what they are doing? When shopping for audio production services examples of previous work and proofing processes should be required from the service provider. It could be approached the same as a graphic design job where the client should feel confident in the designers skill and proofs of the artwork will be neccessary before any final prints are made. At Disc2day they are confident of their audio engineers skill, not just our software and hardware, and welcome anyone interested in recorindg, mixing, or mastering to stop by and ask about our services or get a quote.
